Bonanza Marketing with Instagram

How many of you have an Instagram for your business? Do you get enough interaction with your brand?

The popularity with Instagram continues to increase. According to Nitrogram (1), the graph depicts the representation of the industries that have adopted Instagram into their social media strategies. As you can see, Instagram is quickly being embraced by most major industries.

While viewing its Instagram for Business blog (2), the company disclosed research about how some of the most successful brands -- Disneyland, Chobani, and General Electric, among them -- are using its network as a marketing tool to interact with its consumers.

For brands and businesses, Instagram's focus is to help companies reach their respective audiences through captivating imagery and videos. They are able to do this by providing new resources and tools to educate and inspire marketers. Therefore, in order to assist businesses, Instagram announced that they are publishing The Instagram Handbook for Brands.

Top 5 tips for brands (2)

1. Be true to your brand: For instance, photos from eyeglass retailer WarbyParker showcased their imagery through its own creative personality and voice.

2. Share experiences: Customer images and videos from GoPro offer the view into the world through the eyes of the people that use its products.

3. Seek meaning: General Electric showcased how their technology is meaningful to people. They transported shots of giant jet engine factories and remote wind farms to capture the elegant symmetry of man-made wonders.

4. Inspire community action: Both Nike and Chobani succeeded in creating community involvement with hash tagged campaigns including #runfree and #creationday, which captures the achievements of runners in different areas and showcases mouth-watering yogurt concoctions.

5. Know your audience: The company Mission Bicycle is able to efficiently reach people because it understands what people love about their brand. The take the simplicity of its bicycles and turn it into works of art.

Bottom line: There seems to be some firm evidence that Instagram can boost your brand message.

My First Blog Entry . . .

Hello! Welcome to my blog the StyleInJenn!

This is a Fashion, Food, and Business blog. However, I am by no means a professional when it comes to these subjects. I just love to learn and share what I learn to anybody who cares to listen. As a person in the early stages of my career, I value the knowledge I can get from others, which is another reason for starting this blog. As my professors would say, "NETWORKING is very important if you want to survive and become successful in your careers."

I would love to hear some opinions regarding networking, so until next time . . . . .
